MEDIA RELEASE
SYDNEY – July 2023: Sydney’s much loved Surry Hills Indian restaurant, Don’t Tell Aunty is welcoming a new addition to the family, on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, called Don’t Tell Uncle. After 20 years of friendship, Indian expats and co-owners Varan Deep and Chef Jai Singh decided in January 2020, to take on Don’t Tell Aunty and have gone on to cement the venue’s spot on the Sydney food scene. Set to open its doors this Friday 7th July, their latest venture Don’t Tell Uncle will offer diners the same exceptional standard of service and cuisine with a new sleeker look for a more elevated dining experience.
Co-Owner Varan Deep said, “Dining is all about the experience these days, people prefer to go to a place where they feel special and can have a good time! Business is all about understanding your customers’ needs and providing them with what makes them happy. For us hospitality is all about people… and a good and strong team that can lead a path to a great and welcoming place. Both at Don’t Tell Aunty and our new venue, Don’t Tell Uncle we always strive to ensure that everyone leaves our door with a big smile and an experience to remember.”
